‘Saturday Night Live’s’ Second ‘At Home’ Edition Includes Paul Rudd, Adam Sandler, Miley Cyrus
The second-ever “Saturday Night Live: At Home” edition was a star-studded affair.

Brad Pitt was the first special guest in the April 26 virtual episode of the NBC late-night sketch comedy show. Delivering a cold open in which he played Dr. Anthony Fauci and addressed rumors about the testing of and cure for coronavirus, Pitt previewed that the evening’s show would be sort-of live from around the country. After a week off since its first-ever remotely-produced episode, “SNL” returned with big names across film (Pitt), sports (Charles Barkley), music (DJ Khaled) and TV/former cast members. And that was all just in the opening minutes of the show.

Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider also appeared in Pete Davidson’s latest music video; Bad Bunny appeared in Kenan Thompson’s Big Papi at-home cooking show; Paul Rudd played himself in a FaceTime call with a fictional family member, and Miley Cyrus

Why 'Penny Dreadful' Is Returning With a Brand New World (Including Gods and Nazis)

Why 'Penny Dreadful' Is Returning With a Brand New World (Including Gods and Nazis)
Following a three-year "hiatus," Showtime's Penny Dreadful returns to the premium cable network as an unexpected anthology of sorts as John Logan trades Frankenstein in Victorian England in the late 1800s for a story about L.A.'s Mexican-American folklore roots, circa 1938.

Billed as Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, the new take — bowing April 26 — is described as a "spiritual descendant" of creator John Logan's original. Save for Rory Kinnear's John Clare, the drama features an entirely new cast but keeps the thematic roots of the original.

Fall Out Boy’s Joe Trohman Drops Animated Series?About Rock Band From the Future (Watch)
The current social distancing climate has artists turning to new ways of staying connected to fans, whether through Twitch or Instagram live, releasing cover songs, or in the case of Fall Out Boy’s Joe Trohman, dropping an entire animated series.

The Fob guitarist has released all 10 episodes of his animated series “Mondo Trasho 3042,” which were created with his friends Wade Randolph and Spencer Berman. Trohman kept the soundtrack in the Fob family, with music written by himself with singer Patrick Stump and bassist Pete Wentz producing. They considered pitching it around, but decided to release it for everyone’s stuck-at-home enjoyment instead.

The animated series follows the fictional band Mondo Trasho, which includes a murderous alien-fish creature and a robot, in the year 3042. The intro of each episode sums up the show’s tone and humor perfectly, “We’re Mondo Trasho. We’re a band. We should break up.

Former ‘Hardball’ Host Chris Matthews Admits to ‘Inappropriate’ Behavior
In his first interview since abruptly retiring from “Hardball,” Chris Matthews owned up to the allegations of inappropriate behavior against him.

In late February, journalist Laura Bassett revealed that Matthews made unprofessional comments to her while she was getting her makeup done to appear on his show. She claimed he said “Why haven’t I fallen in love with you yet?” and “Keep putting makeup on her, I’ll fall in love with her.”

Less than a week later, Matthews announced his retirement from “Hardball” on air, surprising many viewers at home and some of his colleagues at MSNBC.

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: ‘SNL at Home’ Goes Down Better the Second Time

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: ‘SNL at Home’ Goes Down Better the Second Time
A couple of weeks ago, “Saturday Night Live” returned — sort of — with a special “SNL at Home” episode. For obvious reasons, the episode was uneven and it was clear everyone involved was just trying to figure it all out. This week marks the return of that format, and what a difference a couple of weeks has made. Notably, in terms of production quality and adjusting to the lack of a live audience. Sure, this second “SNL at Home” loses some of the disheveled charm of the first. But it feels familiar, and now like anything can happen.

Host: Brad Pitt

‘The Last Dance’ Director Jason Hehir on the Side of Michael Jordan That Few Get to See

‘The Last Dance’ Director Jason Hehir on the Side of Michael Jordan That Few Get to See
There’s likely a significant group of people tuning into “The Last Dance” hoping for a glimpse of the “real” Michael Jordan. In some ways, the 10-part documentary series from ESPN and director Jason Hehir shows how that distinction may be difficult to make. Try as Jordan may have during the height of his cultural ascension to put forward a version of himself to a hungry public, “The Last Dance” shows many of the ways that the idea of “Michael Jordan” was cultivated beyond his control.

Still, as Hehir told IndieWire earlier this month, the hours he spent with Jordan over the course of three separate interview sessions helped shine a light on a side of the global superstar that few others get the chance to see.

Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick titled the revival’s finale “It’s Time” but could have just as easily called it “It’s the Last Time” — because that’s what it was.

In an interview with our sister site Deadline, the duo made clear that there would be no re-revival a few years down the road. “We’re not coming back. There’s no version of us coming back,” said Mutchnick. “David and I don’t want to do it anymore.”
